Your gameport may be located on a seperate sound card, or may be integrated as a part of your computer. It is a 15 pin connector not to be confused with the serial port (9 pin) or parallel port (25 pin).

The Critter monitors the environment, and relays that information to your computer. The Critter software will process that information and depending on your solution, will alert you, log the information to a file, or provide the information over the Internet for you to access.
